BJ Adaptaciones

Your partner in R&D projects

Innovation is the essence of BJ Adaptaciones

Our products are the outcome of a constant analysis of the needs of people with disabilities and the adaptation of technology to meet these needs.

The deep commitment to research led us to create our own department of innovation and development, where we manage all resources and conduct all new projects.

Research applied to our product catalog

Our R&D department has helped develop over 40 products that are now included in our product catalog. These products were created after we identified user and market needs by speaking directly with our customers.

Theseproducts include software, electronics, mechanical development, and combinations of all of the above. We collaborate with universities, small engineering companies and end-user associations in order to offer the right solutions to people with disabilities.

The following are some examples of products we have developed:

BJ Hermes

BJ Hermes (BJ-7H01)

Communication software for people with speech difficulties who are able to read and write. Available for PC and mobile devices running Windows Mobile 2005 or newer versions.

Mice BJOY products

BJOY mice, different modalities (BJ-853, BJ-857, BJ-857-Lite)

A range of mice specifically designed to provide computer access to people with physical impairment of the upper limbs and difficulty in manipulating objects.

Double switch

Sip-and-Puff Double Switch (BJ-101)

A switch with a dual sensor that is sensitive enough to detect positive (blowing) and negative (suction) pressure from the mouth
Environmental control

Environmental control solutions (BJ-200, BJ-201, BJ-203)

A set of devices that allow users to control various household items such as the TV, stereo system, lights, doors, beds, blinds, etc. through interfaces adapted to the specific needs of each person (the elderly, people with physical, intellectual impairment, etc.)

We have received several awards, such as the “Infanta Cristina 2008” Award, for our research and its implementation.

Cooperative research

In addition to applied research, we collaborate with other SMEs, large companies, research centers and universities nationwide in several projects, contributing our knowledge and expertise in the field of disability and assistive technology. We have also collaborated with other European research institutes and universities in several proposals for the European FP7.

We also offer our expertise to end-user associations and other private and public entities to develop projects specifically designed to meet their needs.

The following are some examples of our cooperative research projects:
